Harrison Boulevard
Named after President Benjamin Harrison’s 1891 trip to Boise, Harrison Boulevard is a gorgeous tree-lined boulevard filled with homes in a variety of architectural styles and periods. In 1927, many well-known residents, like the Simplots, as well as merchants, physicians, and entrepreneurs called the boulevard home – contributing to its emerging reputation as a symbol of “gentility, prosperity, and social status.” Harrison Boulevard is also famous (infamous?) as “the” place to be on Halloween.
Warm Springs
Warm Springs Avenue has the distinction of having the first home in the nation to be heated with geothermal water in 1891. Many other stately homes were built along the street, taking advantage of the natural hot water being pumped in from east of Table Rock.
